The career advancement path for university staff in the operational and expert tracks

The career path of operational staff is divided into two tracks: the administrative track and the expert track. The advancement in the expert track for university operational staff is detailed as follows.

The steps to attain the expert position.

The department prepares a 5-year framework for expert positions > requests approval for the staffing framework > the department evaluates the job value > personnel prepare the work for evaluation to attain the expert position > personnel submit the work for evaluation to the department staff > the committee reviews and determines the position.

Research works/publications that have been published at the national or international level with at least 2 works rated as excellent or 1 work rated as outstanding, or at least 1 utility model or patent. 

 

P5 : Expert (Intermediate Level) 

Work achievements that demonstrate the development of the department’s operations. 

At least one analytical or synthetic work.

Research works/publications rated as excellent, with at least 1 work, or at least 1 utility model or patent. 

P6 : Expert (Entry Level) 

Work achievements that demonstrate the development of one’s own duties. 

At least one analytical or synthetic work.

Research works/publications/manuals rated as good, with at least 1 work, or a professional certification as specified by the university.

  1.  Personal History and Work Form for proposing appointment to the expert position (Form PNM.XX.01)  
  2. Evidence of Contribution to the Work Form (Form PNM.XX.02)  
  3. Ethics and Professional Code of Conduct Certification Form (Form PNM.XX.03)  
  4. Summary of Work Performance Evaluation Form based on the position’s key performance indicators (Form PNM.XX.04)  
  5. Work submitted for the position as specified by the university.
