Group Health insurance

Eligibility for membership in the program includes: 

  1. Primary Members (University/Department responsible for premium payment): 
    Type 1: University staff under the subsidy category, university staff who have changed status from government employees, university staff under the income category, security staff, and business units. Primary Member (Personnel responsible for premium payment): 
    Type 2: Government employees, permanent employees on state budget, permanent employees on off-budget funds, and other staff/employees. 
    Type 3: Retired university staff (who have continuously been a primary member since retirement and are not older than 80 years old as of the policy’s effective date). 
  2. Dependent Members (Personnel responsible for premium payment): 
    Type 1: Parents, spouses under 80 years old if they became a member before 70 years old and have continuously been a member. New applicants must be under 70 years old. Children must be unmarried, not employed, aged between 14 days and 21 years old, or up to 23 years old if still studying. For children outside these age limits, they will be eligible for Type K2 membership instead. 
    Type 2: Other persons related to the primary member by bloodline such as grandparents, uncles/aunts, siblings, grandchildren, and life partners (regardless of gender), under 80 years old if they joined before 70 years old and have continuously been a member. If not previously a member, they must be under 70 years old. The primary member may register one additional dependent, subject to university approval. 

The group health insurance program covers the period from December 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025 (with a coverage period of 10 months) under the management of Southeast Life Insurance Public Company Limited.

Frequently Asked Questions

The university is responsible for the insurance premiums for four types of personnel (main members): 

  1. University employees in the subsidy budget category 
  1. University employees in the revenue budget category under the university office 
  1. Security personnel 
  1. University employees who have changed their status from government officials 

For departments responsible for premiums for university employees in the revenue budget category and enterprise units, they are responsible for their own staff members. 

It cannot be increased, as the university has already purchased the group health insurance at the highest plan. However, individuals can purchase additional accident insurance for themselves. 

Voluntary personnel who are responsible for their own insurance premiums include: 

  1. Civil servants 
  2. Permanent employees under the government budget 
  3. Permanent employees outside the government budget 
  4. Other employees/staff affiliated with various university departments 
  5. Retired employees who have continuously been members 

Fathers, mothers, spouses, and children aged between 14 days to 21 years old, if studying, must be under 23 years old. 

  • Grandfathers/Grandmothers 
  • Uncles/Aunts 
  • Siblings 
  • Grandchildren 
  • Life partners 
  • Children (other than those in supplementary member type 1) 

*Can join the program, with the main member purchasing for 1 person per right, and approval from the university is required. 

You can apply, but you must have been a continuous member. You can apply until the age of 80. 

No need to undergo a health checkup; the company will continue the insurance coverage without interruption. 

No need for a health checkup, but new dependent members may be required to declare their health status. 

For the fiscal year 2024, the group health insurance coverage will be from December 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025 (with a coverage period of 10 months), under the management of Southeast Life Insurance Public Company Limited.
