Competitive Track

The Employment of the Competitive Track employee

Details 

Departmental HR 

  • The department sends a request for employment approval of the Competitive Track employee, with the indication of its hiring necessity and how the hiring will align with the university’s strategy. The Request must have been approved by the departmental Committee, and must be submitted at least 2 months prior to the intended starting date. The details that must be stated in the document are as follows, 
  • The alignment to the university’s strategy
  • The necessity of hiring. The outstanding aspects of the candidate. 
  • The Agreement on outcomes and clear objectives that define the approach in reaching the University’s goal (The candidate must meet the criteria no.2, must have primary mission in Publication & Innovation, and Research Funds as stated in the announcement. For the creation of a researcher network among other criteria relating to the department’s strategy can be set as secondary missions. 
  • The project agenda along with a submission agreement that aligned with the defined timeframe (6 months, 1 year, or 2 years).
  • Salary proposal
  • The benefits that the department and the university will gain from the employment 

 

Submit the document for approval from the head of the department, then send it to the Office of Human Resources Management 

 

HRBP 

  • Present to the Competitive Track Steering Committee (The Office of Research Affairs) for the primary qualification screening and their comment  
  • Present to the Human Resources Management Committee for approval 

For this hiring category, the department must receive approval from Human Resources Management before proceeding with the employment of the Competitive Track.   

  • Recheck the document 
  • Submit the hiring details via the SAP system 
  • Issue a Hiring Order, then forward it to the employee’s affiliated department
